The worst thing about coming downtown is the traffic if there are multiple events going on. It would be wonderful to have a host of services deployed to help mitigate this problem.

1) Smart meters, they are aware of when someone is parked there and transmit when they are available to a service that would let a subscriber know where parking was in their proximity, also, no more quarters! We should be able to refill meters from our phones.

2) For parking garages, an app would know which garages were full, and how far I was willing to walk to direct me to an optimal garage

3) Congestion - it would be aware of crowded streets, and direct me to a better route, still near parking

Circling for parking for 15 minutes has caused me to miss the start of many a show, It would be great to reduce congestion downtown and help me find parking!
