Why is the Musical Instrument Museum on the outskirts of PHX and not part of the downtown core? If we want there to be a vibrant cultural corridor in downtown PHX, then we need to cluster together as many high profile, large scale cultural venues as possible. The city should meet with museum officials and see if there are any incentives it can provide that would entice MIM to move to a central PHX location. There are so many empty lots in downtown PHX that you cannot tell me there isn't a suitable space available for it. Think of this as an investment to enhance the city's downtown cultural portfolio and increase tourism revenue.
