Bring back the Sunday street closures we had years ago. Now that we have light rail, it could be a huge draw to bring people into downtown. Consider offering a one-price pass that would be good for the art museum, the Heard museum, the children's museum, etc. Encourage vendors and food trucks. Let people get to know their city! Because I live downtown, I am frequently tapped by the agency for which I work to take groups of people on tours of downtown as a team meeting activity. Phoenix is awesome, and we need to stop apologizing for it. Bring bikes and pedestrians downtown, provide them with food and access to what downtown has to offer. Everybody wins.
