More historical markers in Central PHX
The State has these wonderful historic markers, the City should have the same thing

"Phoenix has no history" is a dumb sentence you may have heard before. Sadly, its a myth thats hard to shake.

We need to do a better job with historic markers in Central PHX. Did you know that Ernesto Miranda was arrested in Downtown PHX (near present US Airways Center)-- his trial Miranda vs Arizona is why today people are read their "Miranda Rights". There's no marker on the site that this happened, why?

What about a marker in the Hotel Clarendon's parking lot commemorating where reporter Don Bolles was killed by the mafia?

There is a ton of history in our City, if only we'd bother to tell people about it. Once historic markers are added to the City, the City could create a map for those who want to wander the City and check them all out. They could also make this map an 'app' for smart devices.

Like my "100 Saguaros" idea, this could theoretically be a Centennial Project. I'm not sure if you'd have to make it 100 markers, but I'm sure there's enough history to go around.

When I visited Washington DC there were many places in outlying neighborhoods, near transit stops, that were marked and celebrated with historical information.
