A typical 100 room hotel will dispose of 123,000 tiny shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion bottles per year, and their related boxes, cartons, etc. Many of these are only partially used, causing these chemicals to leach into the groundwater supply. By requiring the use of wall-mount dispensers, not only is this waste avoided, but guests also will take shorter showers (less water, less natural gas or electricity used to heat the water, etc), which is an added bonus.
