The current practice of temporary asphalt patching of roadways prior to a permanent asphalt patch is not to MAG Standards. The work is done hastily resulting in a bumpy sloppy temporary patch that could result in potential liability for the City. It's amazing more people don't do risk management claims for vehicle damage caused from driving over the temporary asphalt patches. The City needs to take the effort to compact the sub-grade at the time the temporary asphalt is place to prevent the trench from sinking. Even an inch or two difference in grade makes a noticeable difference when I vehicle passes over. |
